Retail Store Clerk Job Description
Store Clerks are responsible for the overall customer experience. They will welcome customers and attend to their needs. Store Clerks strive to keep their customers happy and are efficient at driving sales. Store Clerks should be knowledgeable about the products they are selling, be able to make good recommendations and be able to attend to customer queries and requests. In addition to maintaining the store’s appearance and cleanliness.
Duties and Responsibilities
Daily
Welcome customers to the store
Assist customers with their purchases
Provide product information
Operate a cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
Maintain a clean and organized store environment
Receive and process shipments of merchandise
Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills to work with colleagues and customers all day long
Professional appearance and positive attitude to all customers
Ability to communicate at a high level
Able to operate iOS systems
The necessary IT skills to work on a point-of-sale system
Reliable transportation
The ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Excellent selling skills to increase company sales
Have a valid state driver’s license
Compensation
An hourly pay rate of $18 - $20

Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
