Are you ready to gain hands-on experience in the financial industry? Arrow Financial Corporation is seeking motivated and ambitious college students for our first Summer 2025 Internship Program at our headquarters in Glens Falls, New York. The pay rate per hour is $18.00. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and explore career opportunities in banking and financial services.

About the Program:

Our 10-week, full-time (40 hours per week), paid internship program runs through middle of May to middle of August, and provides exposure to key areas of our business. We are looking for a Credit Intern. 

Interns will participate in hands-on projects, networking events, community service, and mentorship opportunities while gaining a deeper understanding of the banking industry.

Internship Summary:

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the credit lifecycle, particularly in the closing process of commercial loans. The intern will assist the team in preparing and reviewing documentation, coordinating with internal and external parties, and ensuring all necessary steps are completed for successful loan closures. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, gain practical knowledge, and contribute to the company’s success.

What We Are Looking For:

College students who are eager to learn and take initiative in a professional setting with a GPA of 3.0 or higher pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Legal Studies or a related field

>? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, team members, and management

>? Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills

>? High degree of initiative and confidence

>? Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Essential Job Functions:

>? Assist in the filing of Uniform Commercial Code financing statements ensuring they are completed correctly.

>? Perform final reviews on completed commercial closing files including preparing commitment letters.

>? Process line of credit advances and payments along with line of credit renewal letters.

>? Attend and participate in team meetings to understand planning and decision-making processes, gain insights into team dynamics and exposure to various functions and organizational processes.

>? Attend a continuing education event, branch visit and/or participate in a community service opportunity to promote corporate social responsibility.

>? Collaborate with interns from other departments within the company to share knowledge and attend developmental opportunities to build power skills including communication and problem solving.

>? Participate in capstone presentation at conclusion of program, showcasing your learning and contributions to the Executive and Senior Leadership teams.

Physical Demands - Must be able to:

>? Sit for prolonged periods of time and walk and stand for brief periods of time

>? Repetitively use a telephone and computer mouse and keyboard

>? Lift and move up to 15 pounds at a time
