DESCRIPTION:A fun and colorful basket\, the Trifecta is a new class being offered for the first time this year by our master basketry instructor\, Linda Scherz. Students start with a 3" wood base with pre-glued spokes\, then will triple twine with three colors of cotton cord in a spiral pattern. The next step will be to braid weave with soft suede leather and then triple twine in a stacking pattern with cotton cord. The rim is accentuated with braided cotton cord and lashed with a twist on a traditional lashing. The final dimensions of the basket are 3" base\, 5" top with a depth of 2 3/4". The instructor will bring all materials to make the basket and tools students will need during class. Students should wear comfortable clothing.
