DESCRIPTION:This drum has a rich\, ringing voice. Students will clean\, shape and decorate a large gourd for the body of the drum\, and cut and decorate the goatskin drum head. Many different finishes for the outside will be available. After the drum is assembled\, a drumstick is made from chamois leather tightened over the padded end of a stick. This is fun to do and you'll be amazed at how good it sounds! Children over the age of 12 are welcome to participate but must be accompanied by an adult.
