DESCRIPTION:Vessels or hollow forms can be created several different ways depending on the desired result. Students can either bring in a sketch of a desired form or work with a simple shape that will transform itself through individual experimentation. In this class students will be working over a resist pattern. There will be a strong emphasis on surface texture and creating a pleasing shape using several sculptural techniques. Color use and design\, both inside and out\, will be discussed\, as well as methods of stretching\, steaming\, surface embellishment and stiffening. All levels of experience are welcome.
