DESCRIPTION:Ensemble Vivant\, hailed as "Canada's Chamber Music Treasure" (Toronto Star)\, will perform at The Hyde on Sunday\, April 26\, 2015 at 2pm. \n\nThis outstanding group has been in demand touring various parts of the globe for over 20 years. Since its inception\, Ensemble Vivant has been a pioneer in the piano chamber music world championing an exciting and innovative genre-diverse repertoire ranging from classical to Latin and other jazz persuasions. The group receives accolades internationally in both the classical and jazz worlds\, and its 12 recordings have become classics which are heard around the globe.Led by the group's founder\, pianist and artistic director Catherine Wilson\, the ensemble is comprised of Norman Hathaway\, Sybil Shanahan\, Stephen Sitarski\, and Don Thompson. These sensational performers bring rich lyricism\, passionate depth of artistry and sensuous\, virtuosic playing to their performances.   \n\nThe de Blasiis concerts take place in The Hyde Collection’s Froehlich Auditorium\, 161 Warren Street\, Glens Falls\, New York.  Tickets for all performances are available at the door: $25 for general admission and $5 for students.
