SUMMARY:25th Annual Saratoga Horse Symposium
DESCRIPTION:CCE Equine is hosting the 25th annual Saratoga Horse Symposium This event is for horse owners\, business owners\, and equine enthusiasts of the Capital District Region and beyond. Professionals in all aspects of the equine industry have been invited to share their expertise with equine enthusiasts for a full day of inspiring workshops\, presentations\, and demonstrations. These presenters have been chosen for their expertise and knowledge in providing the very best of care to our equines. Presenters Sheila Schils\, PhD\, MS an innovator in the field of equine rehabilitation and sport horse medicine. Schils utilizes the science of physical therapy to develop specific exercises\, both in hand and under saddle\, to aid in the rehabilitation process. She developed the use of functional electrical stimulation (FES) in horses for injury rehabilitation and prevention. Her practice has involved all breeds and disciplines of riding. While injury rehabilitation is her main focus\, injury prevention is also a key part of her practice. Carol Vischer-Safran\, DVM\, MS\, Dipl. The Masterson Method follows the neurological responses of the horse to the practitioner?s touch and uses those signs to help the horse release tension and to move them through a range of motion while in a relaxed state. Lorre is also an Equine Osteopath having graduated from the Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy in 2014. Dr. Ed Earley has lectured extensively for the Veterinary Dental Forum\, American Association of Equine Practitioners and University of Minnesota. In addition\, he is a partner at the Laurel Highland Veterinary Clinic\, LLC in Williamsport\, Pennsylvania .
