And there will be something for everyone at Crosswalk\, a new kind of street festival this fall!\n Crosswalk will actually be two events in one!\n\nArea restaurants will be set up on Maple Avenue between Lake Avenue and Caroline Street offering samples of their signature cuisine along with coupons and other promotional materials. Area retailers will be offering their unique merchandise for sale. A performance area in the middle of the block will come alive with a wide variety of acts for you to enjoy. And best of all\, this part of Crosswalk is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! Just come on by. No tickets or reservations are necessary!\nInside Javier's Nuevo Latino Cuisine guests will be able to sample an extraordinary selection of local craft beers\, wines\, and spirits personally selected by cicerones\, sommeliers\, certified specialists in distilled spirits from DeCrescente Distributing. Some of the featured beverages will be paired with foods created by Eric Sell\, executive chef at Javier's. Other samplings from Javier's menu will be available\, as well. Chef Sell and the beverage experts from DeCrescente Distributing will be available to discuss the foods and beverages and to answer questions that you may have about food and beverage pairing\, or about creating a menu for entertaining in your own home. No one under 21 will be admitted. Tickets are $65 per person or $100 per couple.\n\n Proceeds from this event will support the Adirondack Saratoga Chapter of the American Red Cross. Red Cross relief efforts are more than the big events you see on CNN. In fact\, most of the local incidents are single-family house fires that can strike in a moment and leave a family homeless and in despair. Whenever that happens\, the Red Cross is able to provide temporary housing\, and financial relief for things like food\, clothing and prescription medications. Trained Red Cross relief volunteers are available 24/7 thanks to the generous support of friends like you.
